For most of the year, Radio War and Peace runs online with a mixture of music, features, interviews and a limited number of live programmes. In July, we add an FM transmission, and broadcast live throughout War and Peace Revival, at Folkestone Racecourse, in the south east of England.
You’ll hear all types of features, including veterans memories, items on vehicles and re-enactments, reports from events and museums, and a chance to remember great moments from previous War and Peace events.
We also have some great musical features including the A-Z of Golden Oldies, the Mystery Year, and some quickfire fun quizzes.
You’ll also get to hear a wide variety of interviews, covering all kinds of things related to the War and Peace Revival. Celebrities, exhibitors, authors, organisers, and more.
We also plan to make some of our on-air feature available to listen again on this page, so keep watching this space over the coming months.
From World War Two to the Falkland Islands Conflict, and on to the Gulf Wars, we’ve heard some amazing real life stories from those who were there.
Radio War and Peace takes great pride in keeping these memories alive.
From War and Peace regulars such as the cast of ‘Allo ‘Allo, to iconic personalities like Dame Vera Lynn, the Radio War and Peace team has had the opportunity to share some great interviews with listeners over the years.
